A WORD FOR YOUR "WEAK"

As we traverse through this month, let us not forget the blessings and favor of God on our lives, it does not matter what the enemy thinks he is trying to do, we must remember that we are chosen, blessed, healed, delivered, and set free because of or Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Enjoy a Word for your "Weak" and share it with someone else.

HOLY SPIRIT TAKE OUR TONGUES AND HELP US SURRENDER THEM TO YOU!!

In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise.  2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. (Prov. 10:19; James 3:2-NKJV)

Wow!! Are we speaking a multitude of words that have sin connected to them? Our words can be like sharp knives they cut deep.  Even if we go back and apologize and repent to the offended, we cannot take back what we have said.  Our body language and tone play an important part in every conversation as well, and can leave great pain for the victim to handle.  Parents do and will sometimes destroy their children by the words we speak.  I know that I have been guilty of that and pray that I will allow the Holy Spirit to have my tongue so that I will not continue to hurt those that I love most.

We may have repented or apologized for the comment that was made, but, we were not able to remove the sting and scar that was left behind.  Only the Holy Spirit has the power to do that. Unfortunately, there are many families that have been torn apart for decades because of a harsh word spoken in a heated discussion.  Beloved, we must practice to restrain our lips from speaking harsh words even to that co-worker who has gotten on the only nerve that we thought we had left.  It may be the rude cashier, your son, daughter, grandchild, husband, wife, sister, or brother.  It will not be justified before God on our judgment day as a reason to cause pain to others.

All of us, people of God are indeed fallible, we will make mistakes and some of them will be great.   I am a firm believer that practice makes perfect, or, as perfect as we can be in our unsaved fleshly state.  If we try hard enough, we can succeed in becoming people who will think about the words  we speak before speaking them.  Why not try to implement that practice today.  Before we speak, let’s pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help us surrender our tongue to Him, it will only take a minute to win.  Until next time, make it a blessed week.
