Word for your “Weak’
Growing in Grace – that was meant for Harm!
When Joseph's brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, "What if Joseph holds a grudge against us and pays us back for all the wrongs we did to him?" So they sent word to Joseph, saying, "Your father left these instructions before he died: ‘This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.' Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father." When their message came to him, Joseph wept. His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. "We are your slaves," they said. But Joseph said to them, "Don't be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. So then, don't be afraid. I will provide for you and your children." And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them. (Gen:50: 15-21-NIV)
It is not God’s will for us to be harmed by anyone or anything, that is why HE gives HIS angel’s charge over us to keep us in all our ways. While I realize that there are times in our lives that it seems like things are not working for our good, they are. It is my belief that as we read the word of God, we should sometimes put ourselves into that same circumstance and know that God does not change. We should make the scriptures come alive for our current trials we are facing. What He did then for those that we read about, HE still does today for us. He changes not.
Joseph’s brothers devised a lie tin an effort to save their own skins. It was not necessary for them to lie because God had already dealt with Joseph’s heart and made sure that he would take care of his family. When the enemy uses anyone in our lives to devise a scheme against us and they lie to try and correct the wrong they knowingly did, we also can say as Joseph did – “Am I in the place of God”? My beloved, we must remember that “vengeance is mind says the Lord, I will repay”. There is no weapon that will prosper in the lives of God’s chosen; we are the chosen of God. So, having said that the next time that the enemy raises his ugly head towards us let us be reminded we are growing in grace that was meant to harm us. As the scripture states above; You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.(Gen: 50:20-NIV) We may never know why God allows us to go through some of the trials that we face, but, we do know that in the end, we have already won. Until next time, make it a blessed week.

A Prayer for Fathers
Heavenly Father, Thank You for the gift of fathers. Bless every father with strength for today and hope for tomorrow. Fill his heart with wisdom, patience, and courage. Let Your peace rest upon him, Your joy rise within him, and Your love surround him in every season of life.
Guide his steps, steady his mind, and renew his spirit. May he lead with compassion, speak with kindness, and walk in integrity before You.
Cover him with protection, favor, and long life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
A Prayer of Honor for Grandfathers
Lord, Thank You for grandfathers — for their stories, their wisdom, their laughter, and the legacy they sow into generations.
Strengthen their bodies, refresh their minds, and surround them with love and honor. Let their latter years be filled with peace, joy, and rest.
Bless them for every seed they planted, every prayer they prayed, and every sacrifice they made.
May Your grace crown their days. In Jesus Name, Amen.
A Prayer of Remembrance
Father God, Today we remember and honor the fathers who have gone home to You. Thank You for the love they gave, the lessons they taught, and the memories that still warm our hearts.
Bring comfort to every grieving heart. Let Your presence be near, Your peace be deep, and Your hope be steady.
We entrust their legacy to Your care and rest in the promise that we will see them again. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
